SAHC – a partnership of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, Virginia Tech, and the University of Virginia – seeks to further the public humanities in, for, and about the South Atlantic region (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, US Virgin Islands, and Virginia) collaborating with institutions throughout the region. Originally funded through a challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, SAHC successfully met the challenge on Jul.30, 2004. SAHC's core group (program team, executive committee, and other team members) comes from the partner institutions; our Advisory Board is drawn from the entire region.
